Tally hall was an american band created in 2002 by five loser ass looking guys. They originally called their music "wonky rock", but when people actually started to define wonky rock they just said it was flaboo now. What a power move. They are theoretically in a hiatus, but they are not coming back, keep coping.
MMMM is the album debut of tally hall. Marvin's marvelous mechanical museum is a real place in Farmington Hills, Míchigan, and, in the context of the album, tally hall is a group of robots singing there.
Despite being the third song of the album, welcome to tally hall is our introduction to the band as an attraction of Marvin's marvelous mechanical museum, so the whole song is made to feel like you are listening to it in stage. It's pretty a pretty fun song with a bunch of fun tally hall facts too.
"Welcome to Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum Known from coast to coast like butter and toast From headlines to bread lines From schoolrooms to pool rooms No other place in the contiguous United States Or other environs of the world, welcome"
This part was said by the founder of MMMM, Marvin Yagoda, and it was the real introduction to the park.
"The mini-mall is calling us all in."
Tally hall got it's name from a mini-mall close to MMMM.
"Slide the side hatch with pride 'cause your ties match"
I have nothing to say here, I just find this part cute.
The song also keeps in the theme of tally hall being a friendly/uniting thing for people:
"Can I get a T? ("T") And if you hit me with the A-L-L-Y, then you'd see"
"Revealing that the Hall is the place that aims to please"
And a little bit about tally hall not sticking to an especific music genre and defying expectations:
"With unpredictable games and antiquities (...) The unreliable style's undetectable!"
"You didn't think we had the gall"
"We like to play it all"
